To My Daughter Danielle,
I have such fond memories of our last Christmas together. Remember feeding the squirrels and the blue jays at the back door and that great snow slide we built on the back porch steps? I hope you are still painting and making things with your creative talent. Carolyn and I still have the paper angel you made and it is on our Christmas tree this year in New Zealand ..... and here it is!
It was so special reading fairy tales and stories to you and Isaac every night before bed time. I'll never forget saying together at the end of every story, "and they all lived happily ever after!" And then prayers and a hug for each of you with a good night kiss and a sweet dreams wish. I miss you and Isaac more than you can ever imagine and I think of you both every day. Now that you are a young lady of 15, it's time to consider issues of the heart where love and life begin to blend in ways that will amaze you. It is written that we are all worthy of God's love ("For God so loved the world...,"), and so it would seem that we must also be worthy of each others love. I pray with all my heart that as your father, I am worthy to be loved by you.

To My Son Isaac,
Your smile has always been contagious. Did you know that your name "Isaac" means laughter? My memories of us together on that last Christmas always makes me laugh. Do you remember the walks together around the lake and you and Danielle taking turns riding in the red wagon as we walked our dog Goliath and fed the ducks and squirrels? You were so brave at zooming down the back steps on our snow slide in your "flying saucer"! Oh how I miss those great bear hugs of yours! I would love to have one right now! You are a teenager now, and I pray you have retained the boldness of your childhood. As you read about me in these linked web sites, dare to believe that my life and story is the truth and that we will be together again some day with a "happilly ever after" conclusion for our entire family! Just say to yourself over and over again... It's Got to be True!

To My Son Tyler Jon,
I know it's hard for you to imagine your being that small, but yes that really is you in my arms! The day was January 11, 1988 and it was your first Denver Bronco game. As you grew, you were always so active with running and jumping and riding your horse. At first I was your horse as we played on the floor and you rode on my back commanding, "Giddy-up! Then came your spring loaded rocking horse named "Bob". I can still see you with your red cowboy hat riding so hard that the frame of that horse left the floor! I know you were too young to remember, so I will carry the memories for both of us until we meet again. Don't ever forget that no matter how old you are, your father loves you!
